Custom Foot Orthotics
Pain in the feet can be caused by a host of issues. Some of the possible causes involve faulty alignment and movement of the bones and muscles within the feet. Humans have approximately 30 bones in each leg — 26 of which are in each foot. We depend on proper function of the musculoskeletol system in the lower extremities to propel us forward when we walk. With each step you take, more than 208 muscles are used. These muscles exert their effect on the knees, hips, lower back and all the bones holding your body upright. It is not surprising that many knee, hip and back pains are a result of poor functioning feet.
Our office is pleased to make available FASTECH brand foot support products. The evaluation and fabrication process of the orthotic will take less than one half-hour. Depending on the orthotic type your foot requires, you may be able to leave our office with the custom orthotics in your shoes or if more specialized needs exist, your orthotics will be sent out to our lab and returned in less than 10 days.
